Calm Minds, Happy Humans.
Discover the magic of mindfulness.
Children's mindfulness coaching for ages 7–14 in Berks, Bucks and Hampshire - online, in person and in schools.
Busy Little Minds is a children's mindfulness coaching service helping kids, tweens and teens build calm, focus and emotional resilience.
Founded by mindfulness coach Amy Hurley, we run structured, age-appropriate programmes for children aged 7–14, delivered (one-to-one and in small groups / online and in person) across Berks, Bucks and Hampshire.
What is mindfulness for children?
Mindfulness is the simple practice of paying attention to the present moment; the breath, the sounds around you, or how the body feels - without judgment. For children and teens, it's a practical, evidence-based way to manage stress, anxiety and big emotions.
At Busy Little Minds, children learn mindfulness through simple, hands-on techniques like mindful breathing, body scans and mindful listening.
These tools help them calm an anxious mind, improve concentration, build emotional resilience and feel more confident - skills that support them at home, at school and well into adulthood.
How does mindfulness help anxious children?
Mindfulness gives children a set of practical tools to recognise and manage difficult feelings like stress, anxiety and frustration as they happen. Rather than being overwhelmed by big emotions, children learn to notice what they're feeling, pause, and respond with calm.
Over time, regular mindfulness practice helps children:
Manage anxiety and stress with breathing and grounding techniques they can use anywhere
Improve focus and concentration at school and at home
Build emotional resilience so setbacks feel less overwhelming
Grow in confidence and self-awareness
Develop compassion for themselves and others

Busy Little Minds is for children, tweens and teens aged 7–14, and the parents and teachers who support them. We work with families in Bucks, Berks, Hampshire and Surrey who want to give their child practical, lasting tools for managing anxiety, building focus and growing in confidence - whether your child is naturally anxious, struggling with school or social pressures, or you simply want to set them up with strong emotional foundations for life.
We believe in simple ideas, strong relationships, and lasting impact. What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.
Happy & Healthy Minds
Hi, I'm Amy Hurley, a certified Mindfulness Coach and the founder of Busy Little Minds. As a mum who has personally struggled with anxiety, I understand how challenging it can be for children, tweens, and teens to manage stress, emotions, and the pressures of today's world. That's why I first created Busy Little Minds, to give young people practical tools to manage their emotions, improve focus and build resilience - early, before life's challenges feel overwhelming.
I believe that by teaching mindfulness early, we help children grow into happy, healthy, well-balanced people, ready to meet life's challenges with confidence and joy.
